The terms are often used for mixers that contain the controls and shared spout in one tap body. Because manufacturers use the wording differently, rely on the tap-hole, connection and dimension specifications to confirm compatibility.

What water pressure does a basin mixer need?

The minimum requirement depends on the individual model. If your home has a gravity-fed or otherwise low-pressure supply, compare low-pressure basin mixer taps and confirm that both hot and cold supplies meet the stated minimum pressure.

Do basin mixer taps come with a waste?
