Tails’ Take: A More Flexible Screen for a Curved Shower-Bath Layout

The Scudo 1400 x 800mm Chrome P Shape Shower Bath Screen is designed to make a P-shaped bath work harder as an everyday showering space. Its curved clear-glass panel follows the softer outline of the bath, while the semi-framed chrome profile gives the screen a bright, neatly finished edge without surrounding every side in metal. The barrel hinge allows a full 90° movement both inwards and outwards, which makes access easier and gives you more freedom when cleaning around the bath rim. At 1400mm high, the screen provides useful splash coverage, and the 790–800mm adjustment range gives a small amount of fitting flexibility where finished wall dimensions are not perfectly exact.

Will This Scudo Screen Suit the Way Your P-Shaped Bath Is Positioned?

Check the finished fitting width, the direction of screen movement and the clearance around nearby furniture and sanitaryware.

Who Should Buy

P-Shaped Baths Needing a Properly Curved Screen

The curved glass format is intended to complement the broader showering end of a P-shaped bath rather than a straight rectangular edge.

Users Wanting Easier Access Around the Bath

The screen can swing through 90° in either direction, giving more flexibility when stepping in, reaching the taps or cleaning the bath rim.

Schemes Coordinating Clear Glass with Chrome Fittings

The clear panel and chrome aluminium profile sit naturally beside polished taps, wastes and other bright bathroom details.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

Baths Requiring a Straight or Differently Shaped Screen

This model has a curved P-shaped format and should not be treated as a universal screen for straight, L-shaped or other bath profiles.

Layouts with No Room for the Screen to Swing

Nearby basins, toilets, furniture or walls must not obstruct the confirmed 90° inward or outward movement.

Customers Expecting an Easy-Clean Glass Treatment

Aqua-Shield is not included, so the glass will need regular manual cleaning to control soap marks and limescale deposits.

Fitting, Movement and Cleaning the Scudo P Shape Bath Screen

What does the 790–800mm adjustment range mean?

The screen is described by its nominal 800mm width, but the fitting adjustment covers 790–800mm. Use the finished wall and bath position when checking this range, allowing for tiles and other completed surfaces. The installation space must fall within those measurements; the nominal size alone should not be used as proof that the screen will fit.

Can this Scudo screen move both into and away from the bath?

Yes. The barrel hinge allows a 90° inward swing and a 90° outward swing. This can make access and cleaning more convenient, but both directions need to be checked against the room layout. Make sure the panel will not meet a tap, wall, basin, toilet or piece of furniture during its full movement.

How should the clear glass be cared for without Aqua-Shield?

Remove water from the 6mm clear glass after showering with a soft squeegee or cloth, then clean it regularly with a suitable non-abrasive glass product. Pay attention to the chrome profile and barrel-hinge area, where water and soap residue can collect. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh cleaners that may mark the glass or damage the chrome finish.
