The Scudo S6 1400 x 800mm Tinted Black Glass Hinged Bath Screen is a bold alternative to the usual clear panel, giving the showering end of the bath a darker, more architectural finish. Its tinted 6mm glass adds privacy and visual depth without closing the room off like a solid wall, while the matching black aluminium profile ties in naturally with matt black showers, taps and accessories. The generous 800mm width provides useful splash protection, and the barrel hinge allows the screen to swing through 90 degrees both inward and outward, making access and cleaning far easier than with a fixed panel. Choose this particular S6 screen when you want practical bath-shower protection but also want the screen itself to contribute to the room’s overall look.
Check the 790–800mm fitting range, hinge clearance and available wall support before preparing the installation area.
The tinted glass and black aluminium profile can connect the bath area with black shower fittings, taps, wastes and accessories elsewhere in the room.
The screen swings through 90 degrees in both directions, making it easier to enter the bath, clean the glass and reach the wall behind it.
The 1400mm height and nominal 800mm width create a substantial barrier at the showering end of the bath.
The black tint is deliberately noticeable and creates a stronger visual feature than a conventional transparent screen.
The screen can move inward and outward through 90 degrees, so nearby taps, showers, windows and furniture must not obstruct its path.
Aqua-Shield is listed as not included, so the glass will need regular manual cleaning to manage water marks and soap residue.
The wall profile allows the screen to be fitted across a width range from 790mm to 800mm. This provides a small amount of adjustment for installation, but it does not mean the screen will fit any bath. Measure from the finished wall surface and check the bath rim, profile position and screen alignment before drilling the mounting points.
The barrel hinge permits a 90-degree inward swing and a 90-degree outward swing. Check the complete arc against the shower controls, bath taps, nearby basin, window ledges and other fittings. The screen does not always need to use its full movement during normal use, but the surrounding layout should allow enough clearance for convenient access and cleaning.
The black tint darkens the view through the 6mm glass and gives the bathing area more visual screening than standard clear glass. It should not be treated as fully opaque, however, because light and outlines may still remain visible depending on the room lighting and viewing angle. Its main benefit is the combination of stronger styling and increased visual separation.
Use a soft cloth or shower squeegee after use to remove water from the glass, then clean periodically with a suitable non-abrasive glass product. Wipe the black aluminium profile with mild soapy water and dry it afterwards. Avoid scouring pads, sharp tools and aggressive chemical cleaners, as these may mark the tinted surface or alter the dark profile finish.
