Tails’ Take: Give Your Bath a Sharper, More Tailored Centrepiece

The Scudo Muro brings the polished look of a carefully planned hotel bathroom to your own bathing space. Its three-hole layout spreads the gleaming chrome elements neatly across the bath rim, creating a more architectural finish than a single compact tap body. Strong geometric lines give the design real presence, while the separate lever controls make the arrangement feel balanced and composed. The bath-and-shower format also gives you greater flexibility for bathing, rinsing and everyday cleaning around the tub. It is an eye-catching choice for anyone who wants their brassware to become part of the bathroom design rather than simply blending into the background.

Would the Muro Create the Bathing Experience You Have in Mind?

Check your bath rim, available water pressure and preference for fixed or movable spout designs before choosing.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

Baths Without Space for Three Separate Tap Holes

The rim must provide sufficient suitable mounting area for the three-hole arrangement rather than a single pre-drilled opening.

Water Systems Operating Below 0.5 Bar

The stated minimum operating pressure is 0.5 bar, so lower-pressure systems may not deliver the intended performance.

Users Wanting a Spout That Moves Aside

The Muro has a fixed spout and will not swivel away from the bathing area when it is not being used.

Choosing a Three-Hole Mixer for Your Bath

What is a three-hole bath shower mixer?

A three-hole mixer uses separate mounting positions across the bath rim instead of placing every part within one tap body. This creates a more spread-out, built-in appearance. The Muro combines bath-filling and handheld shower functions, making it useful for rinsing hair, washing children or cleaning around the bath as well as filling the tub.

Will this tap provide a good flow from my water system?

Performance depends on the available pressure. The tap requires at least 0.5 bar and delivers a stated flow of 7.4 litres per minute at that pressure. This increases to 10.5 litres per minute at 1 bar and 18.2 litres per minute at 3 bar. Check your household water pressure before ordering rather than assuming every system will produce the same filling speed.

Are the waste and flexible tails supplied with the tap?

No. A bath waste and flexible tails are not included, so these will need to be selected separately where required. The bath must also be suitable for three tap holes with the specified 32mm and 35mm diameters. Checking the bath rim and required extras together helps avoid discovering that a necessary component is missing when the installation is due to begin.
