Tails’ Take: Rounded Details with a Soft Satin Finish

The Core repeats the same circular design language across its upright pillars, barrel-shaped bridge, curved spout and slender pencil handset. Brushed nickel gives those forms a pale satin surface, allowing the finely knurled bands around the handles to provide the main decorative detail. The spout sweeps forward from the centre while the diverter rises neatly above it, keeping the arrangement balanced. Beside the mixer, the narrow handset feels deliberately light, so the complete set looks coordinated without becoming crowded.

Would the Brushed Nickel Core Work with Your Bath?

Check the bath deck, existing hole positions and expected filling performance before installation.

A Good Match For

Baths with a Suitable Two-Hole Deck

The bridge mixer creates one connected fitting across two mounting points, giving the bath a balanced and substantial appearance.

Households Wanting Handheld Rinsing

The separate pencil handset is useful for rinsing hair, cleaning the bath and directing water more precisely.

Bathrooms Using Softer Silver Tones

Brushed nickel provides a warmer, less reflective alternative to polished chrome while retaining a light metallic appearance.

Consider Another Option When

Thermostatic Temperature Control Is Needed

This is a manual mixer, so the user balances the hot and cold supplies rather than selecting a thermostatically maintained temperature.

The Existing Tap Holes Have Different Centres

The fixed bridge cannot be adjusted to compensate for unsuitable spacing, so both mounting positions must be checked carefully.

Rapid Filling at Modest Pressure Is a Priority

Published output is more restrained at the lower end of the operating range, which may extend the time needed to fill a larger bath.

Diverter Use, Plumbing Connections and Pressure Ratings

How is the water changed from the bath spout to the handset?

The central diverter selects which outlet receives the mixed water. Set the flow and temperature using the two side levers, then operate the diverter to direct water through either the bath spout or the handset. Return the handset securely to its holder after use.

Does the mixer require flexible tap tails?

Flexible tails are not included. The mixer has 3/4 inch BSP inlet connections, so the installer must select suitable connections for the bath and existing pipework. The handset uses a separate 1/2 inch BSP outlet connection.

Why is a flow rate shown at 0.2 bar if the minimum pressure is 0.5 bar?

A test figure of 4.4 litres per minute is published at 0.2 bar, but the specified operating range begins at 0.5 bar. Suitability should therefore be assessed using the 0.5 bar minimum, where the published output is 6.8 litres per minute.
