The Scudo Strive 800 x 600mm Matt Black Heated Towel Rail turns a practical bathroom fitting into a bold finishing feature, creating crisp contrast beside white ceramics, pale stone surfaces and matching black shower profiles. Its generous width and clearly separated bar groups give towels room to hang without the rail feeling cluttered, making this Strive a persuasive choice for anyone who wants dependable warmth, useful family-sized hanging space and a sharp matt black look carried consistently across the room.
Balance the available wall width, towel-hanging needs and calculated room heat requirement before choosing its position.
The matt black finish can link the rail visually with black taps, shower frames, mirrors and furniture handles across the room.
The 600mm width gives larger towels more room across the bars than a narrow vertical rail, helping reduce bunching during busy routines.
At 800mm high, this version suits positions where a taller rail could conflict with shelving, windows or other wall-mounted fittings.
The rail needs adequate width for the body, valves and surrounding towel space without crowding nearby furniture or sanitaryware.
The stated output is 1394 BTU and 409 watts at 50°C, which may need supplementing in a larger or less well-insulated bathroom.
Electric-element compatibility does not mean that an element or other electrical components are supplied with the towel rail.
The 4+10 arrangement creates two distinct hanging sections rather than packing every bar into one continuous block. The smaller group can hold hand towels or lighter items, while the larger section offers more positions for bath towels. This makes the rail easier to organise when several items are being used across the day.
The 600mm figure describes the rail’s overall width, while the 555mm C1 measurement relates to the pipe connection positions. These dimensions serve different purposes and should not be treated as interchangeable. The stated C2 reference is 75–90mm, and the installer should confirm the exact measuring points before setting the pipework or choosing valves.
It means the towel rail can accommodate a suitable electric element as part of an appropriately planned installation. The element itself is not confirmed as included and must be selected to suit the rail and intended heating arrangement. Any electrical work in the bathroom should be specified and completed by a suitably qualified professional.
