The Scudo matt black straight manual round towel rail valves pair gives the plumbing beneath a compatible rail the same attention as the visible heating design above it. Compact upright bodies and smooth cylindrical control heads create a clean, symmetrical finish, while the dense black tone stands out sharply against pale walls or disappears neatly beneath a matching dark rail. They are a small detail, but choosing coordinated valves prevents bright connections from interrupting an otherwise carefully planned black bathroom scheme.
Check the pipe direction, connection size and available control clearance before completing the towel rail order.
The straight valve bodies suit heating layouts where the incoming pipework aligns directly with the towel rail connections.
The matt black finish can connect the rail with darker taps, shower profiles, handles and accessories across the room.
The round heads provide direct adjustment while keeping the valve profile smaller than a thermostatic alternative.
Straight and angled valves route the connection differently, so the planned pipe position must match this exact format.
These manual valves do not automatically regulate the towel rail to a selected thermostatic setting.
The towel rail and pipework must accept the stated 1/2-inch BSP connection size before installation.
The straight bodies keep the valve connections in line, whereas angled valves redirect the connection through a right-angled route. The correct choice depends on how the pipework approaches the towel rail rather than on appearance alone. Both formats may look similar once fitted, but they are not automatically interchangeable, so the required valve direction should be confirmed with the installer before ordering.
Each valve measures 74mm high, 59.5mm wide and 59.5mm long. Leave enough room around the cylindrical head for it to be reached and turned comfortably after the rail is fitted. Nearby skirting, furniture, wall returns or boxing should not obstruct the control, as these manual valves require direct adjustment rather than operating through a separate thermostatic controller.
The listing covers a pair of straight manual towel rail valves in matt black. The compatible towel rail and any additional pipework or installation components are not included. Before ordering, confirm that the rail requires straight valves and accepts the stated 1/2-inch BSP connections. Selecting the correct finish and valve format together helps avoid leaving the heating installation incomplete or mismatched.
