A flipper panel is a short hinged section of glass fitted at the open end of a larger wetroom screen. It provides additional coverage where shower spray might otherwise travel beyond the main panel. Unlike a fixed extension, it can be moved to suit the showering position or folded away to make the entrance feel more open.
The glass can move through 90 degrees inwards and 90 degrees outwards. The drawing shows a panel reach of approximately 274mm and an overall projection of 306.8mm from the mounting point. Check this movement against taps, furniture, towel rails and the shower entrance so the panel can pivot without striking another fitting.
Use a soft squeegee after showering to remove water from the clear glass, then clean it periodically with a non-abrasive shower-glass product. Aqua-Shield helps make residue easier to remove but does not eliminate regular care. Wipe around the chrome barrel hinge gently and avoid allowing cleaner to build up in the moving joint.
