Tails’ Take: Rounded Controls with Useful Handheld Flexibility

The Scudo Favour Polished Chrome Round Bath Shower Mixer Kit keeps its design approachable, pairing cylindrical tap bodies with broad, gently rounded lever handles and a simple central spout. The separate slim handset extends the bath’s usefulness for rinsing hair and cleaning around the bathing area, while the supplied wall bracket gives it a defined resting position between uses. Polished chrome reinforces the clean modern look and makes the Favour straightforward to coordinate with matching wastes, shower fittings and accessories.

Would the Favour Make Your Bath More Versatile?

Check the bath deck, water pressure and handset position before committing to this two-hole mixer kit.

Who Should Buy

Households Wanting More Than a Fixed Bath Spout

The included shower kit provides a directional handheld option for rinsing hair, washing children or cleaning around the bath.

Bathrooms Favouring Softer Rounded Brassware

Cylindrical bodies and curved paddle-style levers create a gentler alternative to strongly angular bath taps.

Users Preferring Separate Lever Controls

The two quarter-turn handles provide individual control through short movements rather than traditional multi-turn operation.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

Baths Without a Suitable Two-Hole Mounting Area

The deck must accommodate both tap bodies and the connecting spout arrangement, with sufficient access beneath for installation.

Supplies Operating Below the Confirmed Pressure Range

The stated minimum operating pressure is 0.5 bar, so lower-pressure systems should not be assumed to provide suitable performance.

Projects Requiring WRAS-Approved Taps

The Favour does not carry WRAS approval and will not satisfy specifications that expressly require it.

Using, Positioning and Maintaining the Scudo Favour

How does the shower function work on this Favour bath mixer?

The two lever handles regulate the incoming water, while the control positioned on the central tap body directs the flow between the fixed bath spout and the supplied shower kit. The handset is useful when water needs to be aimed more precisely than the spout allows. Check the water blend before bringing the handset close to the body, particularly when adjusting the controls during use.

Where should the Favour handset and wall bracket be positioned?

Mount the bracket where the handset can be reached comfortably from the bath without pulling the shower connection tightly. It should remain clear of shelves, taps and any bath screen movement, while allowing enough free space for the handset to be lifted and returned easily. The mixer itself is 126mm high with 58mm from the base to the spout, but the wider bath-deck layout must also be checked before drilling.

How should the polished chrome Favour kit be cleaned?

Wipe the tap, handset and bracket with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry the chrome to reduce water marks. Pay attention to the areas around the lever bases and the handset spray face where residue may collect. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders and strong chemical cleaners, as these can mark or dull the reflective finish. Do not force the quarter-turn handles beyond their normal stopping points.
