Tails’ Take: Eden’s Smooth Shape in a Warmer Neutral

The Scudo Eden 1700 x 750mm matt stone bath gives the collection’s smooth oval silhouette a warmer, more grounded character, replacing bright bathroom white with a soft neutral surface that sits naturally beside timber, limestone effects and brushed brass. Its uninterrupted apron tapers gently towards the floor, while the slim rim, central waste and matching double-ended slopes keep the form balanced from every angle; the result is a substantial centrepiece that feels calm rather than showy, especially in contemporary schemes built around layered natural tones.

Is the Matt Stone Eden Right for Your Bathroom?

Who Should Buy

Warm Schemes Using Natural Materials and Soft Neutrals

Matt Stone complements timber furniture, beige tiles, textured plaster and softly brushed metallic finishes.

Bathrooms Wanting a Smooth Sculptural Centrepiece

The seamless apron creates visual impact through proportion and curvature rather than fluting or decorative pattern.

Bathers Wanting Equal Comfort at Either End

Symmetrical reclining slopes and a central waste leave both ends available as comfortable bathing positions.

Who Shouldn’t Buy

Customers Wanting a Crisp Gloss White Bath

Matt Stone is warmer and less reflective than the Gloss White BATH-007 version of Eden.

Bathrooms Planned Around Wall or Deck-Mounted Taps

Eden is specified for freestanding taps and cannot be drilled for rim-mounted brassware.

Rooms Without Space Around the Complete Bath

The layout must accommodate the 1700 x 750mm footprint, separate filler and practical surrounding access.

Eden Matt Stone Finish, Included Parts and Bathing Space

How does matt stone change the appearance of the Eden bath?

Matt Stone gives Eden’s smooth oval exterior a warmer cream-stone character than the Matt White version and a noticeably softer appearance than Gloss White. The reduced sheen allows the bath’s curved sides and gently tapered base to remain visible without producing sharp reflections, making it particularly suitable for tonal bathrooms combining beige, sand, timber and natural stone effects.

What is supplied with this bath?

The bath is supplied with a colour-matched slimline overflow and coordinating pop-up waste. A bath tap is not included, and the rim cannot be drilled for deck-mounted fittings. A suitable freestanding bath filler must therefore be selected separately, with its spout reach, floor connections and operating position planned alongside the final bath location.

Why is the internal base smaller than the overall bath size?

The complete bath measures 1700mm long by 750mm wide, while the flat internal base measures approximately 1100mm by 450mm. The bowl widens above the base as its sides rise towards the oval rim, creating the reclining slopes and surrounding structure. Use the larger external measurements for room planning and the internal figures when assessing the available seated bathing area.
