The Kartell Metro 500mm basin uses a broad rectangular outline, straight front edge and substantial rear deck to create a clean, furniture-led wash area with the mono tap positioned neatly on the centre line. Its actual 510mm width and 465mm projection provide useful everyday presence, while the 390mm inner bowl leaves clearly defined side ledges and a balanced 50mm front rim; the 14kg weight should be considered when arranging delivery, handling and installation.
Use the actual dimensions and opening sizes when checking the supporting furniture, fittings and available floor space.
The 390mm inner width provides a generous central bowl while retaining structured ledges around its outer edges.
A single 35mm tap hole sits on the rear deck, creating a balanced position for compatible one-hole brassware.
The 465mm projection provides substantial washing space where the room can comfortably accommodate its front-to-back footprint.
The actual 510 x 465mm footprint exceeds the listed 500 x 460mm dimensions and must be used for close-fitting layouts.
The information identifies the basin, while a supporting furniture unit is not confirmed as part of the product.
The supporting arrangement and delivery route should be suitable for the basin’s confirmed weight before installation begins.
The 500mm measurement is the nominal size used in the product name, while the dimensioned overall width is 510mm. Use the actual 510 x 465mm footprint when checking a recess, neighbouring furniture or the remaining walkway, as nominal measurements are not precise enough for a tightly planned installation.
The basin has a 35mm tap opening positioned on the rear deck and a 45mm waste opening within the bowl. The tap-hole centre sits 42mm from the rear edge, while the waste centre is marked 80mm forward of the rear bowl edge.
Plan a clear delivery route and use suitable help when moving the basin through the property, particularly around stairs, narrow doorways or finished furniture. The supporting installation must accommodate its 14kg weight as well as the 510mm width, 465mm projection and 160mm height.
