The Scudo Alpha 600mm polished chrome towel bar brings a strong horizontal line to the wall, with a slim square-profile rail and block-shaped end mounts that suit bathrooms built around angular taps, handles and shower fittings. Its generous overall length gives towels room to hang without the accessory feeling bulky, while the bright chrome surface provides a clean contrast against dark tiles, painted walls or matching white sanitaryware.
Check the available wall width, preferred accessory shape and 49mm projection before choosing its position.
The 600mm overall length creates a useful hanging point beside a basin, bath or shower without relying on a smaller towel ring.
Its straight square bar and block-like mounts complement bathroom fittings that use crisp edges rather than rounded profiles.
A 49mm projection gives the rail a relatively shallow wall presence, helping it avoid extending unnecessarily into the room.
The complete wall position must accommodate the stated overall length without crowding door frames, furniture or shower profiles.
The Alpha design is distinctly square, so it may look mismatched in a scheme where every visible fitting has a soft circular form.
A secure mounting surface is required at both ends of the rail, so the intended location should be assessed before drilling or tiling is completed.
The design uses a straight 20mm-high rail with flat faces rather than a cylindrical tube, supported by angular wall mounts at each end. This creates the crisp, architectural look associated with the Alpha collection and makes the bar a natural partner for square tap bodies, shower controls and cabinet handles. The polished chrome finish softens the geometry slightly by reflecting nearby surfaces and bathroom lighting.
Allow for the full 600mm overall length shown for the product, rather than treating that figure as the unobstructed hanging space between the two mounts. Check the position against adjacent furniture, electrical fittings, shower screens and opening doors before installation. Leaving some visual clearance at both ends can also prevent the bar from appearing squeezed into a wall section that is only just wide enough.
The projection is the overall distance the towel bar extends from the mounting wall. At 49mm, the rail remains fairly close to the surface while still creating separation for a towel to hang behind it. This measurement is worth checking beside narrow walkways, inward-opening doors or projecting vanity units, where even a compact accessory needs enough surrounding clearance to remain convenient to use.
